David Holbert has served in many capacities as a Structural Engineer for over 40 years. Mr. Holbert’s experience as a design structural engineer, project manager, and principal-in-charge is very broad and varied. The scopes of these projects have been very small renovations to extremely large (one million square feet, hundreds of millions of dollars in construction costs) new building structures. Building projects include new hospitals, hotels, office buildings, parking structures, laboratories, apartment buildings, dormitories and academic facilities, and extensive renovations of these same types of buildings. David has successfully overseen and designed projects nationally and internationally.
David holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (Structures Option) degree from The Pennsylvania State University (1975) and was named “Outstanding Penn State Engineering Alumnus” in 2001.
He has active professional registrations in Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, Alabama, Arizona (Civil), California (Civil), Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia. His professional organization membership activities have included the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Concrete Institute, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the Consulting Engineers Council of Metropolitan Washington, DC (Past President), the International Concrete Repair Institute, and the Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC (Past Chairman).
